Specialty soaps for my home state! Packaged in handcrafted, recyclable boxes these make great gifts. The loon became Minnesotas state bird in 1961. Known as the common loon, these black and white birds with red eyes have a wingspan up to five feet and body length up to three feet. They are clumsy on land due to their feet being towards the back of their bodies, but they fly fast and can dive up to 90 feet underwater to chase fish to eat. Their distinct, haunting calls echo across many Minnesota lakes during the summer.
